Thermal Drapes Save Energy
New ways to conserve energy are being developed each day, and you can easily do your part by using thermal drapes. The energy you will conserve will noticeably cut down on energy costs. Thermal drapes are made in different ways, some more effective than others. Some are made by thickly weaving fabric, or by layering fabrics. Other thermal drapes have a foam backing that traps heat from entering or exiting. Thermal drapes are a good solution to stopping the heating or cooling losses in your home.

While thermal drapes serve a very useful purpose, they are not ruled out as being a great decorative accessory to a room. Most are pleated drapes with a thermal backing and they are available in a variety of patterns and colors. Thermal backed valences and toppers are also made to give a better selection of styles for thermal window coverings.

Recently, a light weight metallized fabric was introduced to use indoors, as thermal drapes, or outdoors for insulation. It is made of polyethylene  plastic woven together and coated with a reflective metallized surface. It is suggested to use this during the winter or summer as thermal drapes for windows or skylights where most of the heat in a house is lost.
